Call in Leads

(LOW AND SLOW)

Hi______. It’s just Nate..I had a second here to get back with you..I’m not sure if you’ll remember this..you might not, I apologize but we had a second here to process the request..it looks like you put in some information a while back looking into mortgage protection..I’m working on your file now and I have your address as_______ correct? I just need your help to complete the form here so I can get your quotes to you in the next day or so.. (continue with CQF)

If they say they don’t remember:

Yeah…I thought that might be the case. It looks like you either purchased or refinanced a home in the past year or so…and this was one of the hundred or so pieces of mail you received.

Just as a reminder..this was the coverage that, when something happens, your mortgage is paid off or your payments are made on your behalf for a period of time…now if I could just get your help filling in this form.

Bonus Leads Script

Hello, __________? (wait for them to say this is ____________,) Hi _______ this is _________, The reason I’m calling is that I’m a manager over here at the mortgage protection center and I’m looking at a handwritten form (or a request, depending on the lead type) here that either you or your spouse had mailed back to my office. It just came across my desk and I am doing an investigation on it. It’s in regards to your mortgage with _______________ (name of co) for _______________(the amount of the mortgage)

Well (name), and you probably don’t remember this because I can't even remember what I had for breakfast yesterday, lol, but sometime in the past year or two when you either refinanced or purchased your home, shortly after that your bank mailed you out a letter that you or your spouse filled out and sent back to our office requesting information on mortgage protection, that would payoff your house or cover your mortgage payments in case of a death, disability, or critical illness. What I am trying to figure out here is, were you able to get that protection put in place for your family as of yet? (they can only say yes or no)

NO: Well I’m glad I got a hold of you. I apologize it took so long. We have so many requests coming in and not enough agents to go through them all. What I need to do here is just verify the information you put down so I can work up the options that you’re looking for. You put down here your birthday is______________.

(If they say yes they already took care of it, or they throw you any type of objection like I’m all set, were not interested anymore, or we changed our mind etc etc. I use the following)

YES:  (They usually give any objection here)

"Yes, okay great!" (if an objection is given, you may have to get a bit louder or forceful with them if they are about to hang up). " WAIT BEFORE YOU HANG UP! I’m sure
You don’t want 100 agents calling you every day for the next six months, and that
Is exactly what will happen if I can’t close this case out today and you hang up on me.

I just need 30 seconds of your time to answer a few simple questions, and I promise I personally will never call you again. So just to make sure you don’t continue to get hassled
by other agents in our company..."

When people say ___________(their objection...I'm all set, Im not interested, I already took car or that...etc etc etc , it usually means one of three things: either

1) They sold their house,
2) They increased their life insurance through work, or
3) They have already sat down with someone like me. Which one of these best describes what
happened with you?

1. Sold my house

Ok Name, so have you bought your new home yet, or is that still in the works?

Already bought: Well that’s awesome, what did you purchase it for, price wise? (then go back to verifying their information)

Still in the works: Ok Name, anything out there look promising?

Well Name, here is the cool part of Mortgage Protection that most people don’t know! It’s portable, meaning if you sell your house, or pay it off, the coverage stays with you just like life insurance!! As a home owner or previous home owner, you are able to qualify for some really cool benefits that you can’t with just normal term insurance, and the best part is that the coverage you put in place, is It’s attached to you, not your house, so it follows you wherever you go!

Also, a lot of these mortgage protection programs come with Living benefits that you can use even if you don’t die! In case you lost your ability to earn income because you get sick, have a short term or long term disability, heart attack, stroke, or even cancer and some have the option of getting all your money back at the end of the policy.

Let me go ahead and verify the information you put down here so I can work up some options for you. So It says here your birthday is ____________ or it says here you are ______ old, what is your actual birthday?

2. Upped Coverage at Work

That’s great Name, I encourage all of my clients to get as much coverage at work as they can and for as long as you can because it's cheap.  Any financial planner worth their weight in salt will tell you that you should have 7-10 x’s your annual income, and using work coverage for that is great because it’s so inexpensive~ and it’s cheap because you are renting it and if you change jobs, it doesn’t come along with you, and own top of that, every year the company can change the benefits it's offering, including your life insurance.  Unfortunately none of my clients so far have been able to guarantee me that they will have the same job when they pass away, not be in between jobs when they die, get laid off, or worse yet that their company decides to do away with or reduce the benefits,  so most of my clients (name) would like to look at the options of owning something outside of their work so that their entire family’s financial future isn’t predicated upon the job they do or don’t have, That makes sense, doesn’t it?

Great,. Let me go ahead and verify the information you provided me with and I can get those options for you to see if we can find you something affordable.   You put down your birthday is_________. or it says here you are ______ old, what is your actual birthday?

3. Sat Down with Someone Like Yourself

Ok Great name,  So how many of me did you sit down with? (pause, then go) I mean, when you originally bought the home you are looking to protect, did you shop around and look at multiple homes before making the decision to ensure you had the best possible house, for the best possible price for your family or did you just buy the first house you saw? You probably shopped around didn’t you? So did you take the time to shop around for this coverage like you did with the house we are trying to protect or did you just go with the first agent you sat down with?

(if they say first agent)

I was afraid of that.  Unfortunately most of my clients weren’t aware that there are over 35 carriers and 400 plus products that are available for mortgage protection and just assume because someone is a broker that they have access to all of them, which unfortunately for you, they don’t. Here’s the difference (name) Unlike most of the brokers out there who will only show you 2 or 3 options with the carriers who pay them the highest commissions and or send them on exotic trips, I actually represent YOU & your family, and have the ability to SHOP around and negotiate on your behalf to find you the company that will offer = the MOST amount of coverage for the LEAST amount of cost, and that has the most benefits for you and your family.  The worst I have done so far is to find a company who can either offer your MORE benefits for the SAME cost you’re paying now, or provide you with the SAME coverage you already have, but for a better price!  I’m sure you wouldn’t be mad at me if I could find you better coverage and save you money would you? I didn’t think so…lol…let me go ahead and verify the information you put down here so I can work up some options and AT LEAST see what we can do for you and see if it's worth either of our time. So It says here your birthday is ____________ or it says here you are ______ old, what is your actual birthday?

(if they say shopped around)

Well Name, thats great, so if you were smart enough to shop it around, it sounds like that you are the type of person that deeply cares about your family and wants to make sure you are 100% POSITIVE that you do indeed have the BEST coverage, with the MOST amount of benefits, at the BEST Price, that makes sense doesn't it?

Well great, since I have all your information here, let me do my job and go to work for you.  Let me just verify what I have here, do some digging, and then we can set up a time to go over what I find.  I mean the WORSE thing that could happen is that I come back to you and let you know that after an extensive search through 50 plus A rated carriers, and over 500 products, INCLUDING the exclusive products designed and developed for our company only, that you do indeed have the VERY best POLICY, with the MOST Benefits, for the BEST price!

However usually what happens is that over 90% of the time I will find you options that will either increase your coverage, add additional benefits for the same price you are paying now, or just save you money on what coverage you currently have.  If I were able to increase your coverage, get you more benefits, without raising you cost, or better yet save you money, Im sure you wouldn't be mad at me... would you?

Says here your birthday is... or I have you down at ____ years old, is that correct?

I don't remember filling that out - Mailer

That’s ok (name), let me help you with that. When you refinanced or purchased your home, your bank mailed you out a letter and either your or your spouse filled it out and sent in a handwritten request back to our company, looking for a quote for mortgage protection in case of a death, disability, critical illness that your home would either be paid off or your payments would be made for you and I was the case worker assigned to get this quote finished. I only have about a minute of questions and I can get this taken care of for you and then we can chat next week…. you put down here that your birthday is _______.

I DON’T REMEMBER DOING THAT - Digital, Call in etc

No worries, this was back when you first took out the mortgage at (insert address). (No pause. Right back to the script)

CAN YOU CALL ME BACK / EMAIL ME?

That's a great idea! I can definitely call you back. I only have about 10 seconds to get a few questions answered now. The next thing I'll do is spend a couple of hours doing your research, then I'll call you back with your options and close your case.

I ALREADY LOOKED INTO IT / TOO EXPENSIVE

I can understand that. Was it because you’ve priced it already? (Yes)

Do you know if what they showed you was the A, B, or C protection? (I’m not sure)

I ask because most agents only show the A protection — the most expensive type — without offering the B and C options. What we do is show all three types and let you decide what’s best for you.

I’ve never seen a time when I couldn’t help someone get protected because it wasn’t affordable. With that in mind, I need to verify the information you sent us, and then I’ll get some quotes out. (No pause. Right back to the script)

I ALREADY HAVE COVERAGE

That’s great! I’ve been talking to a lot of people who already have something in place, which is good to hear.

However, I’m a broker who works with over 50 different carriers. When I put my client’s information through my system, in most cases, I’m able to find them better coverage at a better rate.

So, I’m sure if I could save you money or get you better coverage, you wouldn’t be too mad at me, would you? (No pause. Right back to the script)

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

Everyone is different, but I can honestly say I’ve never seen a time I couldn’t help someone get protection because it wasn’t affordable. So, (No pause. Right back to the script)

CAN YOU AT LEAST GIVE ME A BALL PARK ON THE PRICE?

I would love to, but the problem is I wouldn’t even know where to begin! Once I can verify the information you provided us, I’m going to spend about an hour or 2 on your file, working up about 10-12 different options to see which carriers will give you the MOST amount of coverage or benefits, for the LEAST amount of cost, and when I sit down with you I will show you the best 2 or 3 options and let you customize the coverage to fit your needs and your budget. With that said, let me go ahead and verify the information you wrote down here. It says here your birthday is _________.

WE’RE SELLING THE HOME / MOVING

Oh perfect, where are you moving to? (Ask a few questions) The old way used to be tied to your mortgage, but the new way is not. If you move, refinance, or sell the home, the policy stays in place no matter what you do. With that being said, I only have about 10 seconds of questions. So, (Back to script)

PROBLEM WITH MY MORTGAGE? / WHO ARE YOU WITH?

Don’t worry, I’m not calling about an issue with your mortgage. You provided your information to be contacted about your mortgage protection options. This coverage pays your mortgage if you pass away or become disabled. Previously, this was offered through your bank. Now, it’s offered by over 100 insurance companies — that’s why you’re assigned a broker like me. I’m licensed by the state, and I only work with A-rated carriers. Have you heard of Mutual of Omaha, John Hancock, Transamerica, or Gerber? So, (No pause. Back to the script)

WE DON’T HAVE A MORTGAGE ANYMORE / DON’T NEED IT

That's great to hear — congratulations! I actually do a lot more than just mortgage protection. I specialize in critical illness, disability, final expense, children’s grow-up plans, and more. What I’m doing now is gathering some information to see what you might qualify for. Then we can see if it makes sense to help. (No pause. Right back to the script)

WE JUST DECIDED WE DIDN'T NEED THIS

Really? ok, so what changed between the time you filled out this form and now that you decided that this protection for your family is no longer important to you?

I DON'T KNOW, I THINK MY WIFE MUST HAVE FILLED THAT OUT ETC

Ok great, can you grab them for me real quick?

(sure, and then they get them)
~or~
(They aren’t here right now)

No problem, what is their cell phone number or when will they be home? Great (name) Why I have you on the phone, let me go ahead and verify the information that your spouse wrote down here about you and then I will reach out to them for the rest. Your spouse put down here that your Birthday is____________.

(Most of the time I can even go through the entire client qualification form with just the other spouse and STILL book the appt WITHOUT ever talking to the other spouse!)

I'M IN THE MIDDLE OF SOMETHING, CAN YOU CALL ME BACK PLEASE

I would love to but I can’t. I only need a minute to verify the information you put down so I can work up your options and we can talk next week, alright? You put down here your birthday is_________.

(If they push harder about calling them back, simply say)

Listen (name) here’s the issue, I can literally run 8-12 appts a day Monday through Thursday and Fridays are the ONLY time I have to get ahold of people like yourself to verify what you wrote down here. I just need 1 minute of your time to verify the information so I can work up some options over the weekend, and then we can chat next week. You put down here that your Birthday is____________.

Locking Down the Virtual Appointment

(Name) Do you have a pen and paper handy? (or can you do me a favor and grab a pen and paper real quick?) Ok, go ahead and write this down, My name is ________ . And my Licence # is ___________.

Normally, how this would work is that I would set up a time to come out to your house and meet with you and your spouse, so that I could verify you are who you are and that you live in the house we are attempting to protect.

However, back when COVID happened, there was a period of time we weren't even allowed to come to your house, and obviously, you didn’t want us coming over, so now we have the option to do this virtually. So what I need to do is to find a time when I can have both you and your wife together in front of a computer.

So let’s see here, um…I’m just trying to see when I can fit you in…pause… ummmmm let's see…sorry (name) I am really booked up right now, I literally have like 100 forms here in front of me of people who want coverage right now, and I am doing my best to make sure to help everyone that I can. So let’s see here..... It looks like I have an opening on….no that’s not going to work….ok looks like the only time I have available to can squeeze you in would be on __________@ ___
Is there any reason that you and your (spouse name) wouldn’t be in front of a computer on __________@ ___ ?

Ok, great, so where do you usually keep your most important appointments at (Name)? On your phone, on the fridge, in a calendar? Ok, could you go ahead and put me in there real quick so you don’t forget about me? I can wait if I need to. While you are doing that, I am going to put this in my calendar as well. (Name) and (Name) MP appt on __________@ ___ You got it…(in your calendar, fridge, phone etc)

Great, listen (Name) I’m not trying to box you guys into a corner or anything, but my family’s livelihood currently depends on me helping to protect families just like yours, and I could be running anywhere between 8-12 APPTS A DAY, so I’m not going to have time to call, text, or remind you, ok? And most importantly, 1 missed appointment cost me the ability to help another family just like yours! Does that make sense (Name)?

Ok great, I will call you guys at what time did we say again? And please make sure you're in front of a computer so I can share my screen with you ok? And also please write down to tell your (spouse), obviously, as they will need to be there with you as well. Knock on wood, In the whole time I have been doing this, I’ve never missed an appt, so short of me being in the hospital, or some natural disaster, I will be calling you guys right a _______on ______ Have a great day!*

*If they do not have access to a computer? Let them know they can be in front of a tablet or even just their smartphone…or last resort, you will just have to do it over a telephone call.

Book the appointment on the Quarter Hour. Example: 6:15, 7:45 etc etc. Better show-up ratio

Physiological Keys for Locking down the appointment

1. You are taking control here ~ Do you have a pen handy? Go ahead and write this down, My name is _______

2. Your BUSY ~ I could be running anywhere from 8-12 appts a day

3. Letting them know your important ~ Where do you keep your MOST important appts at _______.

4. Guilting them ~ One missed appointment cost me the opportunity to help another family just like yours.

5. Implanting the importance in their subconscious mind ~ My Family’s livelihood currently depends on me helping to protect families like yours
LOCKING DOWN THE APPT., IN THE HOME, if you are going to meet them face to face for an in-person appointment.

I HAVE TO CHECK WITH MY SPOUSE’S SCHEDULE.

I Completely understand, When do you see them next? (usually, they will say that night or the next day and feel you are letting off the hook) Here’s the problem. Every Friday I get between 50 – 100 of these forms on my desk and I can be running up to 8-12 appts a DAY Mon-Thursdays, so as soon as I hang up the phone I’m going to fill up my schedule with someone else and most likely it could be a month before I get back to you.

So here is what I am going to do, I’m going to put you down here for ______ Do me a HUGE favor, when you see (their spouse) tonight (whenever) if for SOME reason that does NOT work for them, please call me right away so I will have time to fill that appt with someone else ok? Then lock down the appt as usual.

If I don't hear from you, I will assume our appointment is good for that time. Fair enough?

DOES MY SPOUSE HAVE TO BE THERE?

Is your spouse going to be your beneficiary?  (or most states actually force them to be the bene if they are married or common law married)

Since she is going to be the beneficiary, she will need to be present.

Unsure this is a good time / I'll TRY and make it / "Ill be there if nothing else comes up"

Do you think you can make it, or are you sure you can make it? The reason I ask is I have very limited availability, and I’m super busy. So, are you 100% SURE this is going to work for you (and your spouse)? Or do we need to find a different time where you are 100% positive it will work for both of you?

•  STILL UNSURE:

Now (First Name), I don’t want you to misunderstand what we’re doing here. I have over 300 calls to make this week, and I spend a lot of time doing research for each appointment.

I’ll only have about 15 minutes to review your options and answer questions. I don’t mind spending that time — but only if I know you’ll be there. So, are WE 100% SURE that’s a definite time for both you (and your spouse)?

I'M SO BUSY!! I'M NOT SURE WHEN I CAN SET AN APPT !

Busy doing anything exciting? (Dig three layers deep into relationship building)

Wow, I can understand — you’re busy because (repeat what they said). I’m extremely busy too, I can be running up to 8-12 appts a day and helping over 100 families, so I'm sure you can imagine how busy my schedule is! I only have a few spots left over the next few days to Squeeze you in. I'm sure you can find at least 15 minutes considering how important this is, can't you?

Let's do this.. I’ll be willing to make time to help your family if you are willing to make time. My part will take anywhere from 1- 2 hours preparing the information for your options and shopping out the carriers, Your part will only take about 15 -20 minutes while I explain your options to you and then you will know whether you still want to talk further about it.

So which day so you think can we squeeze in some time to meet _____ or ______?
-or-
Right now, I have _______ and might be able to squeeze you in at ________. Which works best when you (and your spouse) will both be home together?

Well can you at least give me a ballpark of the cost?

I would LOVE to, however I really wouldn’t even know where to begin. I’m going to spend about an hour or 2 on your file working up 10-12 different options to see which carriers will give you the MOST amount of coverage or benefits, for the LEAST amount of cost, and when I sit down with you I will show you the best 2 or 3 options and let you customize the coverage to fit your needs and your budget. That part will only take about 15 minutes.  I'm sure you would rather have thought, and due diligence put into this to customize the coverage specifically for you so you are only paying for the things you actually need, wouldn't you? Perfect, so let's do that. (Back to Script)

CAN YOU JUST MAIL ME SOMETHING OR SEND ME A QUOTE?

I wish I could! If I could do that, my life would me amazing!!! Chuckle…however because I'm a certified and licensed field underwriter, they require me to give you the information in our appointment. (finish booking the appt.)

-If they push back

I’m going to spend about an hour or 2 on your file working up 10-12 different options to see which carriers will give you the MOST amount of coverage or benefits, for the LEAST amount of cost, and when I sit down with you I will show you the best 2 or 3 options and let you customize the coverage to fit your needs and your budget. That part will only take about 15 minutes. I'm sure you would rather have thought, and due diligence put into this to customize the coverage specifically for you so you are only paying for the things you actually need, wouldn't you? Perfect, so let's do that. (Back to Script)

-If they keep pushing

(Name) unfortunately, as much as I would LOVE to give you this information over the phone or simply mail you something, Because our products do not require a nurse to come over and stick a needle in your arm and take blood and urine, I am required as the local field underwriter to verify you, your driver’s license, ask all the medical questions with you PRIOR to giving you any quotes.

I really just don't know if we want to do anythign right now, let me talk about it with spouse and get back to you if we are still interested.

(Name) There is no obligation to buy anything from me at all, in fact you CAN’T even if you wanted to! Once I hang up the phone, shop out these carriers, & negotiate on your behalf, The bulk of what I do after that is just being an educator. I teach you how the products work. AND if it’s something you think you need or are interested in, that’s great!. if not, that’ perfectly fine too. Within 15 minutes you will know if this is a luxury for you, or a necessity! I am just happy to be able show people their options and let them make a decision on the facts, as opposed to guessing! Let’s set up a time on ________for me to go over this information with you and at least then you and your spouse will actually have something to evaluate in order to make a decision on whether you want to do anything right now or not. I’m sure that makes better sense to you doesn’t it?

STEPS FOR PRACTICE PRESENTATION

It is IMPORTANT to FOLLOW all the Steps & their explanations COMPLETELY !!!

The First presentation you want to do... is one on yourself!

The steps to doing a practice presentation are simple and will be outlined in this lesson.  The first and BEST practice presentation that you can do is one on yourself!

That's right, we have all heard it before, how can you sell something you don't believe in yourself!  And the good news is that it counts as 1 of your 5 applications and $5000 in APV that you need to issue to hit the high-five club.

So let's walk you through the steps of doing a practice presentation.  If you haven’t done so already, please watch the following practice presentation.

This is exactly what your prospective client will watch and navigate through in order to choose the presentation they are interested in. So make sure to go through this short, fun, and interactive video as if you were sent this by someone who needs your help with their 10 practice presentations.

When prompted, choose the practice presentation you would like to have done for you and fill in the submission form at the end of the presentation. Once you have completed that, take a client qualification form on yourself (see the video that explains how this done in this section) and then submit it in your google drive folder that was created for you with your name, and then CQF.

Hey, (name) it's (your name). Listen, I really need a favor. I just started with a new job in the Financial Services Industry, and in order for me to go out and start making money with their qualified leads, I have to go out and do 10 practice presentations so that I can learn all of their software, quoting engines, tech/ AI, and filling out applications and such. Could you help me out? (They say of course, or yes) I really appreciate it, as this is super important for me to get this done quickly so I can start making money! Don't worry, you don't have to buy anything from me, and it should only take roughly 20 to 30 minutes.

I know you/we are (friends, my Mom, my Dad, my pastor, my doctor, my hairstylist, my accountant, my son/daughter's school teacher, my brother/sister/uncle, etc) but if you could take this serious for me that would be awesome because at the end of this there is going to be an evaluation form that I'm going to need you to complete and turn into the company.. I need you to be 100% honest, don't worry, they aren't going to fire me or anything, it's only going to help point out to me and then what areas I really need to focus my training on.

What I'm going to do is send you over a short, fun, interactive presentation that is going to give you some info on which practice presentation you want me to do for you. It shouldn't take any longer than 15 minutes to go through it, and probably a lot faster since it's interactive and it allows you to see only what you are interested in seeing. At the very end, there is a quick form you're going to need to fill out so I can customize the practice presentation for you specifically.

As I mentioned before, this is super time sensitive for me, so if I shoot this over to you now, would you have time to watch it in the next 24 hours? Great, so what's a good time we can connect later on today or tomorrow? (they give you a time) perfect, so if I call you at _____ on_____ then you would have had a chance to watch it by then for sure, right? Perfect, I'll touch base then.

Take a CQF on your Client

Make sure to review the video below on how to fill out your CQF Forms.
Also make sure to print your CQF form.

Going over the CQF form:

It is extremely important to make sure you are thorough with verifying both their medical and financial situation to properly assess the client's situation so that we know how to best help them! The information on how to fill out the CQF and the FIF is in our in-home script.

However, we will help walk you through the BEST way to gather all the information you need in order to make the proper recommendation.

When getting to the part in the In-home script where we verify the health information, I like to start off sharing a story to help the client feel comfortable with giving you all medications they have been prescribed, or any current health issues or even issues in the past.

So we start it off like this. Let's say the clients' names are John and Sarah.

John, Sarah, first, we need to verify the medical side of things to confirm which carriers you would qualify for. Now this does not require a traditional medical exam, blood, or urine; however, the insurance companies will pull up your Medical Information Bureau, or also known as the MIB

They will be able to see any prescriptions or health issues you have had in the last 10 years, so the more upfront and honest you are, the better pricing you will be able to get!

In the past, we had a client of ours who, when we asked them if they had been prescribed any medications in the last 5-10 years or had any type of health issues, said no.

However, after submitting the application, the underwriter came back and asked, Why does it show the client was prescribed OxyCottin and Hydrocodone 12 months ago, and what was the outcome of their last neurological visit?

The client responded, OH, I totally forgot. I had my wisdom teeth pulled about a year ago, and they gave me OxyContin for the pain, but it upset my stomach, so they changed it to Hydrocodone. I only took 2 of them and was like forget it because I didn't like how it made me feel.

As far as the neurologist goes, when the pain wouldn't go away, they sent me there for further analysis, and they ended up doing something with the nerve, which caused the pain to go away. After that, everything was fine.

Now, because the client did not tell us this upfront, which would have totally been fine, the insurance carrier thought that she might be hiding something and required a full medical exam with blood and urine.

When the paramed came back, because of some markers in her blood, they raised the rates significantly from about $150 a month to over $500 a month, and it was unaffordable for her, and she couldn't get any coverage that fit her budget.

We definitely DON'T want this to happen to you! If the client would have just been upfront about it, we could have added it to the application, it would have matched up, and they would have approved her policy for the $150 a month, which was affordable to them and fit their budget, as opposed to getting rated to $500 a month.

Unfortunately, once you get rated, you are in the database for all the insurance carriers to see, and you can't go back and qualify with a simple yes and no question application with better pricing.

With that said, I know we talked about some of this during our initial phone call, so I just want to verify what we discussed. It says here your birthday is 03-25-1975, is that correct?

If it just has their age, I say...I see here that you are___ and your Hus/Wife is ____ what is your actual birth date (name?) ok, and your Hus/Wife’s?

And your mortgage amount is ___________, is this correct? Was that a purchase or refinance? Do you know what your home is worth or what it was appraised for? And was that on a 15, 20, or 30-year term? What's your approximate monthly payment with principal, interest, taxes, and insurance all together? (PITI)

And what is it that you do for work (name)? Is that like an 8-5, do you work from an office, or from your home? Ok, great, and what type of income are you accustomed to on a monthly or yearly basis? ( I do NOT usually get any pushback on this is but if they do, just say... Just roughly, I need to put something here in my spreadsheet, don’t worry, I’m not reporting it to the IRS or anything.) And( their spouse’s name), what do they do for work? Hours, income. (You want to know what they do for work for several reasons, and if they are retired, disabled or receiving any type of disability income. If they are retired and home, when they are home together etc, I like to fill up my DAYS with those appointments first and meet with the ones who work 8-5 at night. Do you have any type of life insurance that you own personally or through work? And how much is that for?

Alright, well now it’s my time to go to work for you, I currently have access to over 35 A rated companies that offer mortgage protection, so my job is after I hang up with you, is to shop around and negotiate on your behalf to find the company that is going to offer you the MOST amount of COVERAGE for the LEAST amount of cost. So when we set up a time to go over the options with you will be able to customize the coverage that fits your needs and fits your budget based on what you qualify for. So with that said, I just need to ask you a few health questions to help narrow down my search.

What is your height and weight_______. And your spouse? (If it's a female, I may make a comment like, I know I’m not supposed to be asking you this, but I need to know) So what prescriptions have you been prescribed in the last 5-10 years that may show up on your prescription history, whether you are still taking them or not? Can you spell that for me? (WRITE DOWN THE NAME OF THE PRESCRIPTIONS) And what is that for? (ex, High Blood Pressure, Cholesterol, Diabetes, etc) Ok and when were you first diagnosed with ___________ (get the month and year or even the season, like summer of 2010 etc) Any issues with Heart Attack, stroke, cancer, asthma, arthritis, COPD, Diabetes, or any major surgeries in the last 10 years or Disabilities? Any Pain meds, anxiety, or depression medications you may have been given in the last handful of years? ( You can ask these questions slowly and pause a little after each. If they were hospitalized, find out when and for what, if they had a surgery, find out when, for what, and if they were given any pain meds for it, and if they are still on them or not. And for your wife or husband? (go through the same questions as above.) Any naughtiness like DUIs, felonies, misdemeanors, or excessive traffic tickets?

Ok great, so what is your main concern in terms of putting this protection in place for you and your family? ~or ~ what was the main reason you filled out this form? What did you want this protection to do for you and your family? (let them tell you their concern, whether it be the death benefit, the living benefits ie, critical illness, disability, etc.) And do you guys have any children living in the home? And what are their ages?

Go over the Financial Information Form or (FIF)

So it looks like  we have determined you have roughly __________ in Equity in your home. ( you were able to do this when you asked do they have a mortgage and the amount owed, what its worth, and the monthly payment.)

If you didn't make it home tomorrow, or lost your ability to earn income due to a short term disability, heart attack, stroke,  cancer, or God forbid death, we see here that you lose about $____________ and your spouse would have $____________ that would stop hitting the bank account , correct ? ( you have this info from the client qualification form)

Some clients like to blow off this next part, however it's extremely important that I understand the total cost of running your home so I can give you my best assessment.

So your mortgage payment is $_______________
What would you say you spend a month on the following?:

Groceries $__________
Utilities $__________
Cell Phones $__________
Car payments $__________
Credit cards $__________
Car Insurance $__________
Anything else we may have missed ? $__________
